Eugene Dornbrook (BC '46) is retired as a metallurgy sales rep for US Steel Corp.
1950s
Burton Brubaker (BC '58, MS '58, PhD '62) is retired from Dow Chemical and living in Midland, MI.
David L. Douglass (PhD '58) received the 2004 H.R. Russ Ogden Award from the American Society for Testing and Materials. Douglass is a professor emeritus at UCLA and now a research professor at University of AZ.
Glenn Faulkner (MS '58) is retired and living in San Jose, CA.
Robert (Bob) Henning (BS '54) retired in 1995 from Sandia National Labs. Bob was recipient of the 2003 ASM International Putnam Award and served for 25 years as the treasurer of the Albuquerque Chapter of ASM. Bob now lives in Los Lunas, NM.
Howard "Homer" Schomer (BS '58) Worked in Materials and Production in the Aerospace Industry for many years and retired in March 2000. Remarried 10/24/05.
Raeman Sopher (MS '56) is retired and living in Vermont.
1960s
Jack Bucher (M.S. '62, Ph.D. '64) is retired from the steel industry but remains active as a metallurgical consultant in Scottsdale, AZ. He is always happy to see old friends who find themselves in the area.
Robert Eppich (MS '61) is currently active as a consultant in the metal casting industry.
Harold Gegel (MS '62, PhD'65) was elected a Distinguished Life Member of ASM International in 2004 and is now retired and living in Dayton Ohio.

Larry Hench (BC '61, PhD '64) professor of ceramic materials at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine at the University of London continues to write children's books staring "Boing Boing the Bionic Cat." Rollin Hook (MS '59, PhD '66) is retired from Armco Inc. and resides in Arizona.
Gregg Melde (PhD '69) is retired and lives in Poulsbo, WA.
Robert Miller (BS, MS '67, PhD '70) is retired after 34 years as a senior staff engineer at Delphi Automotive Systems in Michigan. Bob also served for many years on our External Advisory Committee.
Jack Patterson (BS'62, MS'62, PhD'66) retired Professor from the Iowa State University now lives in Arizona.
Jeff Swank (BS '66) is a retired Program Manager, having provided engineering support to the US Navy. Jeff now lives in Ocean City, NJ.
Russell Wenk (BS '67) is a standards engineer at Boeing Co. in Mesa, AZ.

Michael Crews (BS '73) is Chief Metallurgist at Metaldyne in Columbus.
Edward Dalder (PhD '73) is a materials and processing engineer at Lawrence Livermore National laboratory in Livermore, CA.
Carmine Doddato (BS '79) is a Project Manager with Centrotherm Photovoltaics AG in Luchu Township, Taiwan.
Donato Firrao (MS '70) was elected as the Dean of Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in October 2005.
Randall German (MS '71) formerly at Penn State, is now CAVS Chair Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Director, Center of Advanced Vehicular Systems, Mississippi State University. Rand received a College of Engineering 2005 Distinguished Alumni Award.
Mohamad Karaminezhaad (Ph.D. '77) is a faculty member of engineering at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in Iran.
Charles Morin (BC'72 and MS '72) is chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Engineering Systems Inc. in Aurora, IL, and has chaired the Materials Science and Engineering External Advisory Committee since 1994.
Larry Offenbacher (BS '72) is CEO of Rotary Steerable Tools in Houston.
Joe H. Payer (BC '66, PhD '71) is Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Director of the Yeager Center for Electrochemical Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. Joe is a leader in the analysis and advancement of materials performance and corrosion control for the long-term disposal of spent nuclear fuel in the proposed high-level waste repository at Yucca Mountain. He gave the Plenary Address the NACE Corrosion 2006 conference. Joe resides in Brecksville, OH.
Robert Schafrik (Ph.D. ?79) of Cincinnati, OH is General Manager of Materials and Process Engineering, GE Aircraft Engines.
Laurel Sheppard (BS'79) is the president of Lash Publications International in Hilliard, OH. She has written a children's book, ?Florence and the Fabulous Flumpinger." A portion of the proceeds of her book will be donated to Smile Train, an organization which provides free cleft surgery to thousands of children throughout the world.
Lex Vinsel (BS '79) is a student at Clover Park Technical College in Washington.
Gregory J. Yurek (Ph.D. '73), formerly at M.I.T., is co-founder, CEO, and President of AMSC Corp.

Diane Albert (BS '82) was named an OSU Women in Engineering Pioneer in Spring 2007. Diane, who holds a PhD in materials science and engineerng from Carnegie Mellon University, graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in May 2007. Having passed the New Mexico Bar Exam, she was sworn-in September 27, 2007.
V. "Anthony" Ananthanarayanan (MS '85) of Beavercreek, OH is a Technical Fellow at the Delphi Energy and Chassis Group.
Carl Biefeld (BS '88) is a senior ship design manager for the Navy in Virginia. He is chief engineer in charge of design and construction of the CVN-21 nuclear aircraft carrier, which will replace the Nimitz class.
Gregory Franklin (BS '86) is a department supervisor at Anchor Hocking Glass in Lancaster, OH.
Rowdy Joseph (BS '86) Rowdy recently celebrated his 18th wedding anniversary to wife Kelly. The couple resides in Marysville, Ohio with their two children Ethan and Sydney. Rowdy manages the Vehicle Research Dept. in the Motorcycle Division at Honda R&D Americas located in Raymond, Ohio. He has served as Material Project Leader for various Honda ATV developments including the '06 TRX250EX and '07 TRX500FA/FM. Rowdy is active in the Columbus Chapter of ASM International having served as Treasurer, Vice Chair and Chair. He has been a member of the OSU MSE External Advisory Committee since 2003.

Scott MacKenzie (BS '82) serves as Technical Specialist for Heat Treating Products at Houghton International in Valley Forge, PA. Scott has worked with Emerson, McDonnell-Douglas, and Boeing and has earned both an MS and Ph.D. from U. of Missouri-Rolla ('95 & '00).
Carole Markhoff-Matheny (BS '78, MS '86) is the managing director of children's education at the Matheny Academy in Middletown, DE.
Donald Moore, Jr. (BS '83) is an engineering manager at CeramTec North America, New Lebanon Division in New York and resides in Simpsonville, SC.
Gary Pickrell (BS'85, MS'87) is an Assistant Professor of Materials Science Engineering at Virginia Tech. He is also the associate director of the Center for Photonics Technology at VA Tech.
Robert Pishko (MS '78) is a senior staff engineer at Alcoa, Inc. in Pennsylvania.
Guy-Michel Raynaud (PhD '82) is a research manager at Alcan in France.
Thomas Riley II (BS '82) is a senior engineer at CoorsTek in Golden, CO.
Michael Serfozo (BS '85) is owner/president of Sol Mates Inc. and owner of Cruise Planners of Ohio.
Andrew Sherman (BS '85, MS '87) is president of Powdermet Inc. in Euclid, OH.
G. Sundararajan (MS'79, PhD'81) Director of Arc International, Hyderabad, India, was inducted into the 2005 Class of Fellows by ASM for "contributions to the field of corrosion and wear of metallic and composite materials."
Roger Tai (BS '88, MS '92, PhD '92) is head of operations and GM for Axalto Technologies Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong.
Adriana Teklitz (BS '87) is manager of quality assurance and planning for Zircoa Inc. in Solon, OH.
Marty Weiser (BS '81) is now Materials Development Manager for Electronic Packaging Materials at Honeywell International in Spokane, WA.

Rajarshi Banerjee (MS '97, PhD '98) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of North Texas.
Srabani Banerjee (MS '98) is a senior technical staff member at AT&T Corp in New Jersey.
Mark DeBruin (BS '98) lives in Youngsown, OH and works as a high school math teacher.
Craig Dusek (BS '99) is an associate metallurgist at AK Steel in Middletown, OH.
John Eggiman (BS '91) is an applied technology engineer at Ferro Corp. in Cleveland.
Robert Ferraraccio (BS '95) is a self-employed consultant living in Redondo Beach, CA.
Christopher Goda (BS '90) is president of The Quantum Group Inc., Twinsburg, OH.
Brent Harle (MS '92) is happily married with 3 kids, Ages 5, 9 & 10. Now living near Calgary, Alberta and working in northern Alberta on the Horizon Oil Sands Project since Sept. 2003. Brent would like to hear from classmates and professors via e-mail.

Joan Kertz Yurko (BS '99) received her MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2001, married to Jim Yurko in 2002, gave birth to baby boy Jake in 2006, passed Patent Bar Exam in 2007. Joan and her family live in Holland, MI.
Donghui Lu (MS '98, PhD '00) is a group leader at Intel Corp. in San Jose, CA.
Peizhen Kathy Lu (MS '99, PhD '00) is an Assistant Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech. Peizhen specializes in nanomaterials and graded materials.
James Moore (MS '91 Met, PhD '96) is a senior research engineer at Applied Research Associates, Inc. in New Mexico.

Lamda Muchjin (MS '95) "My materials science and engineering knowledge provides a solid basis for addressing day-to-day operational concerns in the petroleum industry," says Lamda. He, his wife, and three children are now living in Muscat, Oman. Lamda is working for PDO-Shell after having worked with Unocal and Chevron in Indonesia for ten years. Lamda wishes to pass along many thanks to all of his professors and advisors in MSE especially Dr. Smialowska, Dr Raul Rebak, Dr. Rapp, and Dr. Wilde and also to the famous Fontana Corrosion Center (FCC). "Through the FCC I was provided with the practical knowledge needed to be competitive in the global work force."
Srikanth Perungulam (MS '97) is a failure analysis engineer at Texas Instruments in Texas.
Robert Schofield (BS '96) Robert is married and has one daughter. He recently came on board with Cutting Dynamics, Inc. of Avon, OH to lead the development of automated thermoplastic composite aircraft seat facility.
Peter Searles (BS'99) and wife Jennifer Wisecup Searles (BS'99, MS'00) are both engineers at Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati. Jennifer is a member MSE's External Advisory Committee and both are active in recruiting Ohio State graduates. On April 7, 2004 they welcomed the arrival of their baby girl, Jayna Catherine.
Brian Weis (BS '98) is with NuVox Communications in Columbus.
Leslie Wood (BS '96) is married with three children (2 girls and a boy). He was recently promoted to Director, Internatioinal Business Development at Amsted Rail responsible for technical and commercial activities for wheels, axles, and wheel sets around the globe. Leslie lives in Oswego, IL.
2000s
Ravi Angal (MS '05) is working with Siemens Power Generation Inc in Orlando, FL as a Metallurgical Engineer.
Brian Barnhart (BS '05) was on the 2003 Homecoming Court at OSU. After graduation, Brian hiked the 2,700 mile Pacific Crest Trail. He currently works as a metallurgist in Pittsburgh at Union Electric Steel Corporation, while pursuing a MBA at CMU. Union Electric Steel is the world's leading manufacturer of forged and cast-hardened steel and iron rolls.
Jonathan Blank (PhD '08) works with GE Aviation as a Materials Application Engineering Team Leader.
Richard Delmont (BS '05) is currently working with Armor Holdings Aerospace and Defense Group in Phoenix, AZ.
Eduardo del Rio (MS '07) is working with TOSOH in Grove City, OH.
Rakesh Dhaka (MS '07) is working with US Steel Corp. as a Research Project Engineer. He lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
Andrew Emge (PhD '08) works as an Engineer/Technologist with GE and lives in Cincinnati, OH. He and his wife are looking forward to the arrival of their first child in Fall 2008.
Xi-Yong Fu (MS '00, PhD '01) is a senior research engineer at Merck & Co. in West Point, PA.
Scott Gallagher (BS '02) works with Southern Union Company in Indianapolis, IN as a Division Engineer managing risk in large-diameter natural gas pipelines.
Andrew Geiger (BS '05) works as a Senior Sales Executive with Keyence Corp. in Rolling Meadows, IL where he is in charge of capitol sales of digital light microscopy equipment.
Jon Hedrick (BS '07) is working with ATI Allegheny Ludlum as a Process Metallurgist.
Andy Hohman (BS '00) Andy married Jaylene Hade in Sept., 2006 and they are expecting their first child in Spring 2008.
Sarah Jordan (BS '99, MS '04) Sarah is the division metallurgist Commercial Metals Corporation's heat treating division (Impact Metals). She works to improve the heat treating of round bars and structural steel used in everything from cranes to rifles. Sarah recently implemented and received certification for ISO 9001 at the Youngstown plant and is responsible for the recently started implementation at the Alabama facility. Sarah and husband Mark Debuin live in Youngstown, OH.
Manish Kamal (PhD '05) works with the Titanium Metals Corp in Toronto, OH as a Product Modeler.
Ashish Kapoor (MS '01) works as a Consumable Design Engineer for The Lincoln Electric Company in Cleveland, OH.
Vincent Kerchenski (BS '02) Upon graduating in 2002 I moved to Russellville, Ky after accepting a position with Logan Aluminum (a joint venture between ARCO & Novelis). I started in the Technical Department as a Product Metallurgist, mainly as a liason between customers and plant operating units troubleshooting problems and assisting in development of new processes. Recently, I switched to a Process Engineers position in our finishing unit with responsibilities associated with coated aluminum sheet. Currently trained as a Green Belt for six-sigma Continuous Improvement Activities, and pursuing a MS in Mechanical Engineering at Western Kentucky University. For any of my fellow classmates who remember my oldest daughter Ellyn accompanying me to class; I just want to let you know she is a freshman in high school now.
Jessica Licardi (BS '03, MS '06) works with GE Aviation in Cincinnati, OH as a Materials Development Engineer. [Jessica earned her Master's degree by means of the GE-ACE program, a cooperative effort between the MSE department and GE.]

Amy Mazza (BS '01) received her PharmD and is currently on a fellowship in the College of Pharmacy.
Sarah Meckfessel Harvey (BS '00) is an operations supervisor and a Six Sigma black belt at Caterpillar, Inc. in Decatur, IL. Sarah and husband Brad also have a son, Zachary, born in December 2004.
Matthew Mottern (PhD '07) is working with Intel and living in Hillsboro, OR.
Barbara Padgett (PhD '08) is working for CC Technologies (a DNV Company) and lives in Columbus, OH.
Jayson Parrish (BS '07) is working with Kohler Corp. as a Quality Engineer and lives in Sheboygan, WI.
Jorge Penso (MS '00, PhD '01) is staff consultant/metallurgist for SES Inc in Houston.
Doug Pohlman (BS '03, MS '04) is a diffusion engineer with Micron in Manassas, VA.
Katherine Stevens, (MS '87, PhD '02) is currently Chief of the Survivability and Sensor Materials Division of the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate at the Air Force Research Lab. The Directorate is the materials lab for the Air Force and is responsible for all materials and processing research, development, and consulting, as well as all manufacturing technology development and industrial base preparedness. She leads a $50M, 175-person division. Kathy was advised at Ohio State by Hamish Fraser.
Joshua Tuggle (MS '08) is working with CC Technologies and lives in Grove City, OH.
Kunal Vaed (MS '01) recently joined the management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate in the Operations Strategy practice at New York. Kunal lives in West New York, NJ.
Jianfeng Wang (PhD '04) moved to Nanjing in Feb 2007 and started working for Ford's Research & Engineering Center in Nanjing. Jianfeng was advised by Robert Wagoner.
Alexis Wheeler (BS '03) is an analyst at Accenture in Columbus.
Stephanie (Collins) Will (MS '07) Stephanie is working with the Timken Company as a Product and Process Metallurgist. Stephanie is engaged to be married in September 2007.
Jianhui Wu (PhD '04) is working with Saint-Gobain Corporation and is involved in the development of superabrasives microstructures and tools.
Di Yu (PhD '06) is a Research and Development Engineer with American Water Chemicals in Tampa, FL carrying out R & D on chemicals for water pre-treatment.
